Welcome to our Website. If you are looking to start a business or revitalize your company, like to review your business strategy, get pointers on developing a business plan, participate in online training programs, or join us for our business process focused seminars, you are halfway there!
Our Southeastern CT SCORE Chapter Website is your gateway to share ideas and to pick the brains of those who have been "there".
We are a group of experienced executives, who are extremely motivated to use our entrepreneurial know-how to help you road-map your business venture and to avoid some of the mistakes that we have made in the past.
Whether its a problem in acquiring a dental practice, setting up international distribution of your products, creating a financial management firm, or simply preparing an operating budget or a list of the next steps in your marketing plan, we have the resources to get you there.

With 30 active volunteers, we are convinced that one of our partners would have those skills to help you make the right decisions now! Centered in Old Saybrook, we cover the Southeastern portion of Connecticut . . . now reaching from Branford to Stonington along the Shoreline and north to Norwich and Middletown.
About 2/3 of SCORE®'s clients are interested in starting a new business. The other 1/3 is already in business and looking for help in solving a particular problem or for assistance in making changes or improvements to their businesses. Clients are usually scheduled for Counseling within several days of contacting SCORE® for a Session within the next several weeks.
Our Counselors
Every successful business has a well-developed, forward focused business plan. For most entrepreneurs, developing that business plan is usually the most difficult job to tackle. We are prepared to help you develop a comprehensive business plan with special work tools that help simplify the process.
Sometimes, it is difficult just to talk about issues abstractly. SCORE® Chapter members are ready to review the problems of your business on site with you.
There are also occasions when the SCORE® Counselors' experience may be the most valuable by asking the basic question: "Is this really a good idea?"
We've also included a "rogues gallery" and brief "Bio" of some of our Members to give you a better feel for the diversity of our business backgrounds and skills.
